We believe that God has chosen some of us for salvation by His sovereign election. God has chosen His elect before the beginning of the world and has given them salvation through his perfect grace. We believe God foreknew all people and chose whom he would save according to his perfect wisdom. He did this not based on anything we may or may not do, so that we would not have any bragging rights. He chose whom He would save in order to bring Himself glory. This meaning, even if you are the lowliest of sinners, he may have chosen you. We do not claim to have any knowledge of whom God will or will not choose, we believe in sharing the gospel with all for this reason.
Because we are all born in sin, we do not have any desire to choose God and His finished work on the cross unless He puts this desire in us. By His mercy and grace, He chose some to be with Him in His kingdom eternally. If God has changed your heart so that you despise your sin and want to turn from it and turn toward God and His son Jesus, then you are truly born-again and among the elect/saved.
